Our sightseeing tour will start with visit the Pyrgos village, which was the capital of Santorini until 1800. Pyrgos unique is the fact that it is the highest village of the whole island, providing great panoramic views of both sides of the island.
Our next stop will be in Megalochori village. Megalochori is a cozy graphic village offering beautiful views over the Caldera. Its existence is recorded back to the 17th century.
After Megalochori we will visit Emporio village, the largest village of Santorini. The village has probably been named Emporio (= trade) because it used to be the center of the commercial deals in the past.
Red Beach Santorini: The red beach is arguably the most famous and beautiful beach in Santorini. It is located in the area of Akrotiri and is only some steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri.
Black Beach: Many people are familiar with the name “Black Sand Beach” in Santorini referring to one particular beach. The truth is that there are many beaches on the island that have been formed by the solidified lava giving them this dark color. Next our stop is goinhg to be at Vlichada beach.
At the end of the tour, we will head to the southernmost point of the island to see the remote lighthouse! This is a great place to meet the famous sunset of Santorini, because, from this point the island offers an impressive view of the rocks and the endless Aegean Sea!
